AQTIS 514 IATSE is looking for new Member Services officers (1 permanent position + 1 temporary position with possibility of extension).
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Reporting to the Director of Member Services and IT, you will:
- Receive and process membership, readmission, reclassification and resignation requests;
- Apply established procedures relating to benefits and employment classification and status;
- Ensure annual dues are paid and process experience recognition requests.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Receive and process enquiries about AQTIS 514 IATSE membership applications and the criteria for recognition in a position; provide basic information about the benefits of membership;
- Receive and process membership, readmission, reclassification and resignation requests; ensure classification criteria are met, that required training has been successfully completed, and provide applicants with information about their application for membership; in the case of a resignation, provide the relevant information;
- Open new permittee files; prepare electronic files, make sure they contain all required information, enter the data;
- Receive and process enquiries from members and permittees; try to resolve complaints or forward them to the appropriate person in accordance with established policies;
- Receive and process requests for recognition of experience in accordance with the recognition guide and forward files to the appropriate departments, as required;
- Help prepare and send dues notices to members, in accordance with the established procedure;
- Receive and process annual dues and perform daily accounting closeouts;
- Deposit postdated cheques for annual dues;
- Provide information, verbally or in writing, to members and staff about statuses and dues; give members information, avenues and solutions to encourage membership renewal;
- Provide authorized individuals with access codes for AQTIS 514 IATSE’s website;
- Produce statistics, reports and other documents relating to the collection and payment of annual dues;
- Prepare correspondence, mass mailings and perform other clerical work;
- Open files, file documents and information using established systems; perform general administrative tasks;
- Perform searches (timesheets, contracts, specific information, etc.) and produce statistics as required;
- Fill in for the receptionist from time to time;
- Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in administration or other relevant training
- Minimum one year of relevant experience in administrative support and customer service
- Excellent knowledge of French (spoken and written) and working knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Good knowledge of the Office Suite and databases (FileMaker)
- Commitment to customer service

BENEFITS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Start date: as soon as possible
- Two positions available: 1 permanent position + 1 temporary position (with possibility of extension)
- Work schedule: 35 hours/week
- Hourly wage between $24.40 and $28.02 (commensurate with experience and training)
