AQPM collective agreements take effect

We are pleased to announce that the new collective agreements (Film, Television and New Media) negotiated with the Association québécoise de la production médiatique (AQPM) officially came into effect on August 11.

Note that some current productions continue to be governed by the 2019-2023 agreements. For all projects that started before August 11, 2024, the terms and conditions of the three 2019-2023 labour agreements still apply.

For productions governed by the 2019-2023 agreements, note that the new 2024-2028 pay scales will come into effect on October 27, 2024. Your basic hourly rate (BHR) and/or basic flat daily rate (BFDDR) will then be adjusted accordingly.

Application of the new agreements depends on the date of the first work assignment. In other words, all projects for which work begins on or after August 11, 2024 will be subject to the new agreements, including the new pay rates.
