AQTIS 514 IATSE, through the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), joins the call launched by eight unions and guilds in the audiovisual sector.

They demand Telefilm Canada stop investing in projects where producers don't sign collective agreements, thus depriving actors, creatives, and artists of fair working conditions.

The agency needs to adopt measures, already in place at the Canada Media Fund, requiring that productions remain in good standing with industry unions and guilds. This ensures a fair and ideal balance for members, colleagues, and the larger ecosystem of the industry.

Telefilm has already committed to addressing this issue at its next annual meeting.
