Season's Greetings: Let's keep moving forward together

Dear members of AQTIS 514 IATSE,

We have been through a difficult year, it’s true, marked by a less fruitful period for our industry. Between the political and economic uncertainty coming from our southern neighbour, the necessary adjustments to membership dues, the slowdown in production activities, and the need to quickly position ourselves regarding AI regulation, your commitment has remained our greatest driving force.

This coming January 1st marks the fifth anniversary of our association. I know that integrating the different cultures and practices resulting from the 2021 merger remains a challenge - and perhaps, at times, a source of confusion. Rest assured that we are continuing our path toward harmonizing our practices, operations, and strategic actions with the sole objective of representing you as effectively as possible and providing you with the best service.

Not only will 2026 be an election year in Québec, but it will also be one for our association. Three vice-presidency positions : television and documentaries, camera, and postproduction, as well as two board member positions for the American productions sector, and one board member position for the fiction and advertising productions sector, will be up for election. You will receive all the necessary information shortly.

We are counting on you more than ever: your involvement, your ideas, and your valuable feedback are essential for us to continue moving forward.

May this new year be filled with exciting projects and stimulating professional achievements for each and every one of you.
