SECURING THE FUTURE OF OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS
Publié le April 8, 2026
Many of you take part in the training courses offered by AQTIS 514 IATSE, whether to develop your skills, advance in your professional path, or access new opportunities.
Since 2023, each year on average, more than 200 training sessions have been offered, most of them free of charge, enabling nearly 3,000 people to receive training. Maintaining an offering of this scale and quality, however, requires a sustainable financial model.
To ensure its sustainability in today’s financial context, members present at the 2025 Annual General Meeting adopted a resolution aimed at optimizing the program’s economic model, notably through an increase in fees. The Executive Committee of March 10 also adopted a resolution to this effect.
Historically, your association chose to absorb costs and losses to ensure training remained accessible to as many members as possible. Today, we are moving toward a model adjusted to the evolution of actual costs. This indexation is key to maintaining our pedagogical excellence at the heart of our mission.
Thanks to our efforts, subsidies obtained from the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail (CPMT) help cover part of these costs and thus reduce the financial burden for our members.
The new rates will come into effect on May 1, 2026.
Workplace health and safety (OHS) training, for its part, remains free.
