Learn how to inspect, safely operate and drive a standard forklift and how to identify the risks associated with operating and driving it.

Know that the use of this equipment is governed by laws and regulations.

OBJECTIVES

To acquire the following theoretical and practical competencies that will be validated by a test:

1.     Inspect the equipment;
2.     Know the equipment’s capacity and limitations;
3.     Operate the equipment safely;
4.     Plan the operations and movements to be carried out.

PREREQUISITES

•     Be age 16 or older
•     Have a driver’s licence
•     Be member
• Have taken the initiation to community life course

You will then receive an e-mail containing the date a few weeks before the course. You can then contact us to register. These e-mails are sent every Wednesday. PLEASE NOTE: Subscribing to the reminder list is not equivalent to subscribing to the training course.

The number of participants allowed in each course is limited. On the day of the course, we will not admit any participants who have not paid for it in advance.

IMPORTANT: Please note that safety shoes must be worn to participate in training. Failure to do so may result in the trainer refusing to accept you, and you will be considered absent without a valid reason, subject to a $100 charge as per our cancellation policy.
