Training in the Use of Aerial Platforms and Lifting Platforms

ABOUT
Learn how to inspect and how to safely use and operate lifting platforms and identify the risks associated with operating and moving these platforms.
Know that the use of lifting platforms is governed by laws and regulations.
OBJECTIVES
The skills to be acquired are theoretical and will be validated by a test:
- Inspect the equipment;
- Know the equipment’s capacity and limitations;
- Operate the equipment safely;
- Plan equipment movements and maneuvers.
PREREQUISITES
- Have taken the “Fall protection” course
- Be age 18 or older
Be member - Have taken the initiation to community life course

The number of participants allowed in each course is limited. On the day of the course, we will not admit any participants who have not paid for it in advance.
IMPORTANT: Please note that safety shoes must be worn to participate in training. Failure to do so may result in the trainer refusing to accept you, and you will be considered absent without a valid reason, subject to a $100 charge as per our cancellation policy.

- Demonstration of daily inspection of scissor lifts
- Practical exercises, moving and using scissor lifts
- Safety evaluation of participant’s operation under the supervision of a qualified person
