About
Work that involves being on public roads and/or blocking traffic can put you in harm's way. You need to know how to block a lane of traffic, what restrictions you must observe when directing traffic, and most importantly how to protect yourself while performing your duties.
Objectives
The content of this course is theoretical. After completing it, participants will be tested on the following:
- The Highway Safety Code
- Workplace hazards
- Selecting signage
- Choosing personal protective equipment
- Positioning yourself
- Choosing signals and means of communication
- Special situations

Have taken the initiation to community life course
Certification
Competency card, valid for thhree years
