This page describes the criteria for recognition in the Costume department.
To become a member of any department, you have to:
- Be a member in good standing (have paid the membership dues)
- Have completed the Introduction to the union session

- First Aid in the Workplace

NOTE: If you are required to drive a heavy vehicle as part of your duties, you must first complete the OODHV Act – Drivers Section course. This training is not linked to a department or a position, but rather to the execution of a specific task.

Have taken the Managing a Team course
Have accumulated 150 days of work as a Costume Designer under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
Only on US productions
Have accumulated 120 days of work as an Assistant Costume Designer under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
Have taken the Managing a Team course
Only on Quebec productions
Have taken the Managing a Team course
Have accumulated 120 days of work as a Costume Coordinator under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
Only on US productions
Have accumulated 120 days of work as an Costume Supervisor under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
Have taken the Managing a Team course

Have accumulated 90 days of work as an Assistant Wardrobe Master/Mistress under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
Have accumulated 90 days of work as an Assistant Costume Coordinator under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
Specializations: Breakdown, Couturier, Cutter, Hat Maker, Accessoires
Have accumulated 90 days of work as a Specialized Wardrobe Technician under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
Have accumulated 45 days of work as a Wardrobe Technician under Union contract on at least 2 different productions

Have accumulated 120 days of work as an Assistant Wardrobe Stylist under Union contract on at least 2 different productions
DEPARTMENT ORGANIZATION CHART
Are you a technician interested in opening an account with AQTIS 514 IATSE (or complete an existing one)? If so, you must provide your date of birth and your social insurance number (SIN) when filling out the form.
This information allows us to issue your income tax slips and to transfer the accumulated saving from your RRSP and insurance, following the collective agreements.
