The Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ) has set up initiatives and activities to support various themes in the union movement.

PODCASTS ON QUEBEC'S WORKERS' STRUGGLES

The FTQ presents six podcasts on labor conflicts that have marked Quebec's history. Through the testimonies of people who lived through these conflicts, you will discover the legislative, political and personal impact of these troubling events.

Le monde ouvrier

The oldest union publication in Quebec and Canada. With a print run of 40,000 copies and free distribution, this periodical is a good example of the major role played by the FTQ in the circulation of information.

YOUTH TRAINING CAMP

An annual three-day gathering of exchange and debate for members aged 35 and under. It's an ideal opportunity to delve deeper into current union and socio-political issues.

DATES: September 20 to 22, 2023
PLACE: Station touristique Duchesnay
REGISTRATION FEES: $460 for a room in a pavilion, $510 for a room in a chalet and $555 for a room in an inn.

FEMINIST SCHOOL 2024

The FTQ Feminist School is a training program designed for all those who identify as women or non-binary. This training will allow you to understand intersectional and inclusive feminism, including sexual violence from an anti-racist perspective, transinclusive feminism, the links between feminist struggle and class struggle, and more. Participants will also reflect on how to embody these militant perspectives through union action and member mobilization.

DATES: January 22 to 26, 2024
PLACE: Manoir des sables, Orford
REGISTRATION FEE: $1500 (Accommodation, meals and coffee breaks included)
